Elixir Aircraft Targets One Delivery Per Week

Twenty-six Delivered So Far In 2024

Elixir Aircraft, of La Rochelle, France, is delivering its 26th training aircraft and continues on-pace to meet its goal of delivering one aircraft per week by the end of the year. 

French aircraft rental company Locavion just took delivery of serial number 26, Elixir said. The company is ramping up production to pare down an order book backlog of 200 orders and pre-orders. The company’s reassembly plant in Sarasota, Florida, is scheduled to open in 2025.

Elixir brought two of its 100-hp and 140-hp aircraft to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, along with a contingent of sales and customer support specialists to meet customers on this side of the pond.

The target market for Elixir’s platform is primarily flight schools and has garnered more than twenty customers in Europe so far, including the Airbus Flight Academy School. To meet growing demand, the company is expanding its La Rochelle production sites to include a new 15,000 square meter facility planned for 2026 completion. The Florida facility will be at the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (KSRQ) and will initially be dedicated to reassembly of aircraft for delivery to American customers. The two hundred people projected to be employed in Sarasota will bring Elixir’s total workforce to about 400.
