True Blue Power Energizes ANN-AEA Day 1 Coverage!

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics and True Blue Power

True Blue Power Introduces its Smallest, Lightest Lithium
Main Ship Batteries for GA

True Blue Power Lithium Batteries will be on display in the True Blue Power and Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics booth, #202, throughout AEA, April 24 – 27 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

True Blue Power, the first company in the world to engineer and certify lithium-ion batteries for aviation, introduced two new, main ship batteries at the Aircraft Electronics Association International Convention and Trade Show in Orlando, Florida this week. The certified TB14 (13 amp-hour) and TB28–12V (26 amp-hour) lithium-ion batteries are specifically designed for smaller, fixed-wing, Part 23 aircraft. Weighing just 10 pounds, they are the company’s smallest and lightest aircraft batteries.

Company officials say the introduction of the TB14 and TB28-12V has expanded the True Blue Power main ship battery product line to serve all aircraft markets. The company now has lithium-ion batteries ranging from 13-amp hours to 60 amp-hours. The certification plan for the new TB14 and TB28-12V includes STC approval for an extensive list of aircraft models.

“True Blue Power is known as the world’s market leader for lithium batteries, recognized for top quality and reliability,” said Todd Winter, President and CEO of True Blue Power.

Why Upgrade to the TB14 or the TB28-12V Lithium-ion Aircraft Battery?

True Blue Power main ship batteries are the lightest and most compact. They provide more power per pound than any other aircraft battery. The TB14 and TB28-12V offer on-condition maintenance, with intelligent cockpit communication via discrete output and RS-232, and feature built-in charge current limiting to protect the aircraft’s alternator or generator without needing to install additional equipment.

Start Lighter

  • Save up to 20 pounds per battery
  • Increase your useful load

Start Faster

  • Extend component life with cooler, faster, more reliable engine starts
  • Gain superior performance in extreme temperatures, from -20? to +70?

Start Smarter

  • Reduce maintenance costs up to 90%
  • Save time and money with 8-year battery life
  • Eliminate capacity checks with on-condition maintenance
  • Receive intelligent cockpit communication via RS-232 and discrete signals

The TB14 and the TB28-12V are certified to FAA TSO C179b (Class A-4B), RTCA DO-311A, RTCA DO-160G, and RTCA DO-178C DAL A.
