No Russian Military Aircraft At Farnborough 2018

Civilian Aircraft Will Likely Be On Display

The organizers of the 2018 Farnborough International Air Show have banned Russian military aircraft and other hardware from the exhibition.

Aerotime.aero reports that the organizers of the show issued a media release announcing the decision. "At Farnborough International, we take guidance from the British Government’s Export Control Organization (ECO) regarding the EU embargo on imports of armaments and military hardware to and from Russia. We welcome all exhibitors, Russian or otherwise, that fall within these ECO guidelines," the release stated.

There was not a major Russian presence at the 2016 show, according to the report. While several civilian manufactures displayed aircraft, both arms exporter Rosoboronexport and aerospace agency Roscosmos were notably absent from the show.

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a press release saying that civilian aircraft will again be on display at Farnborough 2018.
