Singapore Airlines Group Chooses Rolls-Royce Power For 50 Dreamliners

Order With Support Contract Totals $4 Billion

Rolls-Royce has been selected by Singapore Airlines Group to power 50 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with Trent 1000 engines. Bested Previous Record By About 200 Statute Miles

Delta last week broke a company distance and time en route record after ship 3351, an Airbus A330-200, flew nonstop 10,757 statute miles from Singapore’s Changi International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in 18 hours and 34 minutes. The flight eclipsed the previous A330-200 record for distance by approximately 200 statute miles.

Pre-Order Reservations For 2013 Filled Up In Nine Days

The announcement by SkyCraft of plans to produce the SkyCraft SD-1 Minisport LSA in July has led to an order book that is filled through 2013. SkyCraft said on their blog that production on the SD-1 began last month, and the first completed aircraft is currently undergoing flight testing.
