King Air Goes Down On Maintenance Test Flight

All Three Aboard The Aircraft Survive

A Beechcraft King Air Turbo went down just short of the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport near Greer, South Carolina. Witnesses say the aircraft "skipped" over a highway and came to a stop on a hill just shy of the runway threshold. All three people aboard the aircraft were injured, but survived.

Toronto Airways of Toronto, Canada has purchased a full motion King Air C90 flight simulation device from Fidelity Flight Simulation of Pittsburgh, PA. The Fidelity simulator will be highly type specific to the King Air C90, and include aircraft systems and instructor operations customized for Toronto Airways' training curriculum.

Nearly $7 Million To Replace Facility Built In the 1960's

The FAA has awarded a $6.77 million grant to Missoula International Airport for construction of a new control tower, which will replace the 1960's-vintage facility currently in use. Airport director Cris Jensen said the 60-foot-tall tower is the oldest in Montana, and perhaps the oldest in the region.
