Adding Motion To Your Home PC Simulator...
Any PC flight simulator program can provide a certain level of aviation fantasy. At the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo 2016 held in Sebring, Florida, ANN news editor, Tom Patton, found a company that has enhanced the simulator fantasy by adding motion.
Dan Bowman, the Manager of Multi-Simulations LLC. said their SkyFantasy simulator is designed to run on older operating systems because there are so many flight and simulator programs that continue to run well on other than the latest systems. Bowman explains that they added motion capability because so many desktop simulator flyers say they miss the feel of a real airplane.
Of course, Bowman points out that the SkyFantasy system is also ideally suited for flight schools. He also responds to Tom’s question about what powers the simulator and his answer is surprising. The video shows a classic example of innovation coming from what is a perceived need for people interested in motion simulated flight without the high costs of a full aviation simulator. It looks like Tom was having some fun during this interview.
