CIT Aerospace International Leases New Aircraft To Indian Airlines

First New Planes "In A Generation"

Representatives with CIT Aerospace International, one of the world’s largest aerospace financing and leasing companies, have announced the delivery of three new Airbus A319 aircraft to Indian Airlines. CIT reports the three aircraft are the first new planes delivered to the state-owned airline in a generation.

"India has a dynamic new deregulated airline market and CIT has been closely involved, leasing more new aircraft into this market in the past year than any of our competitors," says Frank Pray, Managing Director of CIT Aerospace International. "The investment in these three new Airbus aircraft demonstrates both CIT and Indian Airlines’ confidence in the long-term strength of the Asian aviation market. We remain committed to the Indian aviation marketplace and will continue to secure similar transactions to grow our presence globally."

The three A319s delivered by CIT are also the first to carry Indian’s new livery, the "Sun Chariot," inspired by the famous Konark Sun Temple in eastern India -- which represents a chariot that carries the Sun.

CIT Aerospace manages a fleet of over 300 commercial and regional aircraft leased and financed to over 100 airlines around the world.
