Aviation Attorney Aoife O’Sullivan Joins Aerion Board

Will Help Formulate Strategy For The Company As It Moves To Manufacture A Supersonic Bizjet

Aoife O’Sullivan, a London-based partner at international law firm Kennedys, has been named to the Board of Directors of Aerion Corporation. O’Sullivan will participate in strategy formulation and the overall governance of the company as its AS2 supersonic business jet program gathers momentum.

“Aerion is growing rapidly,” said Aerion Chairman Robert M. Bass. “Aoife’s extensive knowledge of the industry, especially its legal and financial dimensions, will add further depth and experience to the Aerion board. We welcome her to this great undertaking.”

O’Sullivan works with a global team of 60 attorneys and finance experts covering business and commercial aviation, military aircraft, and civil aerospace. She advises clients on aircraft finance and regulatory issues, including corporate structures, aircraft acquisitions, airline start-ups, and other issues. Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine named her as one of the top 10 leaders in European business aviation in 2014.

Aerion CEO Doug Nichols noted, “We will be making many crucial program decisions in 2015 regarding sales and support, major program participants, and our worldwide industrialization strategy. Aoife’s industry stature, international experience, and leading expertise in aviation finance matters distinctively qualify her to help lead the company forward.”

“The AS2 will revolutionize the industry,” said O’Sullivan. “In discussions with numerous clients, the need for supersonic transportation has become quite evident. Aerion has a solid plan for achieving it and I am thrilled to be working with some of aviation’s best and brightest.”
