Limited-Edition CTLSi Model Engages Light-Sport Customers

Americas Edition Follows Successful Jubilee Offering

The Flight Design 25th Anniversary Jubilee Edition offered earlier this year sold out so fast that some buyers were unable to take advantage of the special offering. A limited edition to commemorate the company’s quarter century mark, only 25 Jubilee models were planned, and they sold like the proverbial hotcakes.

To satisfy continuing demand for specially equipped models, importer Flight Design USA worked with German manufacturer Flight Design to create a special Americas Edition of the CTLSi. Another 25 of the popular Light-Sport Aircraft are now available though, once again, the supply is diminishing as buyers sign their purchase agreements.

“We are pleased to prepare a second special edition for our loyal customers seeking a new state-of-the-LSA-art airplane with everything they could want,” announced Tom Peghiny, President of Flight Design USA. “We call it the Americas edition and we’ve made it very appealing.”

The Americas Edition CTLSi models will be delivered in 2014 with the following deluxe equipment: Special Americas Edition exterior graphics; Rotax fuel injected and fuel-conserving 912 iS engine with 2,000-hour TBO, able to use premium auto or 100LL avgs; Dual Dynon 10-inch SkyView glass screen featuring Synthetic Vision; Garmin 796 touchscreen multi-function display; Dynon Autopilot, commanded by SkyView; Twin Bose A-20 ANR headsets; BRS 1350 High-Speed emergency airframe parachute system; Garmin GTR 225 com radio; Whelen high intensity landing light; and, optional ADS-B for free weather and traffic.

“Given CTLSi’s reputation as a roomy cross country traveler capable of more than 800 nm non-stop getting better than 25 mpg at 115 knots, it’s no surprise pilots are flocking to the Americas offering as they did the Jubilee” said John Gilmore, National Sales Director for Flight Design USA.
