National Association Of Flight Instructors Honors Team
The Jeppesen Aviation Training Solutions team will receive the
prestigious 2009 Jack J. Eggspuehler Award from the National
Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI). The award recognizes the
team’s dedication to aviation education and overall
contribution to the flight training industry.
The Jeppesen Aviation Training Solutions team will be presented
with the award in a ceremony this fall for its work over numerous
years in developing quality flight training materials and products
for the aviation training community, according to NAFI
officials.
This year’s award also recognizes the Jeppesen training
team for its significant ongoing contributions to aviation
education and dedication to advancing aviation. “We are truly
honored to be presented with the 2009 Jack J. Eggspuehler Award
from such a distinguished leader in the aviation industry,”
said Mark Van Tine, Jeppesen president and chief executive officer.
“This award recognizes the excellence put forth by our
Jeppesen Aviation Training Solutions team in developing the finest
aviation
education and flight training programs for the industry.”
The National Association of Flight
Instructors presents the award annually to an “individual or
organization making a significant contribution to flight
instructors, flight instruction or aviation education,”
according to NAFI award guidelines.
The award also recognizes the Jeppesen team’s dedication
to excellence, safety and quality materials that has resulted in
high quality training materials for instructors and students to use
in flight training efforts, NAFI officials note.
The Eggspuehler Award is named for Jack J. Eggspuehler, a founder
of the National Association of Flight Instructors and a member of
the Flight Instructor Hall of Fame.
Eggspuehler served as president of the NAFI organization for
more than 30 years.
