CAE And Loganair Renew Pilot Training Agreement

Launch New Graduate Pilot Program Under New Three-Year Contract

CAE has announced the launch of the Loganair Graduate Pilot Program, and the signing of a new 3-year pilot training contract with Loganair. The announcement was made during the 2019 European Aviation Training Symposium (EATS).

"The launch of Loganair’s Graduate Pilot Program is a great opportunity for aspiring professional airline pilots" said Maurice Boyle, Chief Operations Officer at Loganair. “Quality training is extremely important for Loganair and we are setting up this program to further build on our strong foundation of service excellence and aviation safety. Through our partnership with CAE, we are giving pilots access to the highest standard of training from the very beginning of their flying career.”

"Loganair graduates will be on the fast-track to success as they launch their careers in aviation,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions. “Training partnerships such as this one bring innovative pilot solutions to the industry. CAE’s forward-thinking approach will create excellent opportunities for Loganair, and we congratulate our airline partner for its continued success.”

The new CAE Loganair Graduate Pilot Program provides a direct career path to qualified graduates covering individual type rating training for ATR42/72, Embraer ERJ 135 and ERJ145 and SAAB 340. The airline will sponsor the type rating training and those who successfully pass will be employed by Loganair on the relevant aircraft. CAE will select, screen, assess and train graduates for Loganair. The program to train over 80 new pilots was recently launched, and the first graduates are already in training. Commercial Pilot Licence graduates who meet eligibility requirements, will interview with Loganair for available graduate pilot positions.
