Antarctic Helo Mishap

Serious Injuries, as Load Gets Away From Them...

Click to EnlargeNew Zealand ANN Reader Bernie Arnel, told us, "A local sunday newspaper (Sunday Star Times) had a report of two persons flown from McMurdo Base in Antarctica [ca 2000 miles away] on Friday 17th [times local NZ time] to Christchurch after a helicopter crash... One person described as having spinal injuries. A Base spokesman is reported to have refused to comment."

We couldn't get any more than this preliminary report. We hope the heli-men are recovering OK --ed.
