Eve and Global Crossing Purchase Hundreds of Aircraft

Embraer eVTOL Subsidiary Nabs Big Sale

Global Crossing Airlines, or more stylistically, GlobalX, has secured a deal with Embraer's eVTOL subsidiary, EVE, for up to 200 of their upcoming aircraft.

The sale brings Eve's total backlog up to almost 1,800 aircraft, expected to begin deliveries in 2026. The aircraft will go into service with GlobalX's charter fleet, serving customers alongside the company's roster of Airbus A320 and A321s. Along with the purchase, both companies will "explore the development of an ecosystem to scale Urban Air Mobility and reinforce the Concept of Operations in Miami-Dade, Florida." GlobalX plans to leverage its expertise as a flag airline in order to aid the design and systems of infrastructure needed to permit eVTOL flight throughout the area.

“We are honored to be working with Eve Air Mobility and believe their affiliation with Embraer ensures Eve will be the best positioned eVTOL manufacturer," said Ed Wegel, CEO of GlobalX.

"These eVTOLs will enable us to expand our market throughout south Florida, bringing our customers to their flights at Miami and Fort Lauderdale, as well as local flying within Key West and all of the Keys, Naples, and Palm Beach."

Andre Stein, co-CEO of Eve seconds the enthusiasm. “We are delighted with this partnership with GlobalX, which will maximize our efforts to structure UAM operations. Their experience as an airline will contribute to the expansion of Eve’s eVTOL deployment in North America. The partnership also ensures both companies’ commitment to delivering sustainable urban air mobility and providing the community with better and faster solutions."
