Italian Maintenance App NovoFlight Selects New President

"AI-Powered" Maintenance App Gets New Brass

NovoFlight Technologies announced a new President in Giuseppe Caltabiano, taking up the helm of the management software firm.

NovoFlight (stylized as "novoFlight") is "the ultimate platform for General Aviation safety and maintenance", according to the company's own self introduction. "Powered by cutting-edge AI," NovoFlight says, its app, Aviator, delivers predictive maintenance alerts - notifying owners of problems before they occur. Since it's app-based, there's plenty of the ol' flight school app functions bundled in there too, from scheduling for aircraft and instructors to logging of flight hours.

Giuseppe Caltabiano comes to the firm on the heels of a career in unusual aviation niches, initially getting his start as a glider pilot and club racer before moving on and up to the point of getting type ratings for the Eclipse and Citation Mustang. Caltabiano was a member of a world record crew flying a Pilatus PC-12 from pole to pole, as well as a longstanding angel flight pilot and chairman of the Glacier Park International Airport Board.

“I am excited to join the innovative team at novoFlight Technologies. The fusion of aviation technology and business strategy has always fascinated me, and I am eager to contribute to novoFlight’s path breaking projects. Together, we will soar to new heights and redefine the future of aviation technology,” said Caltabiano.

“We are delighted to welcome Giuseppe to our team. His blend of aviation expertise and business acumen makes him the ideal leader to drive novoFlight Technologies forward," said Leland R. Johnson, CEO of novoFlight. "Giuseppe’s appointment is a testament to our commitment to bringing the best talent to our team, ensuring we remain at the cutting edge of aviation technology.”
