Urgent CASA (AUS) AD: Beech 1900

AD/BEECH 1900/41 Elevator Trim System 13/2003 DM

Here comes another AD for the Beech 1900 pitch control system, and it's probably not the last we'll see...

Applicability: All Models 1900, 1900C, and 1900D aircraft.

Compliance: 1. Before the next time maintenance is to be performed on the elevator trim system.
2. Before the next time maintenance is to be performed on the elevator trim system.
3. Before further flight following maintenance on the elevator trim system.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 12 November 2003.

Background: The FAA issued AD 2003-20-10 as a result of an analysis of the maintenance
procedures of the elevator trim system. The actions required by this Directive are to
detect and correct any maintenance-induced problems with the elevator trim system
installation before problems occur during operation. Such a condition could lead to
difficulties in controlling the aircraft or a total loss of pitch control.
