Frasca C-172 FTDs Get Level 5 Approval For Shenzhen Airlines

Will Be Used In Carrier's Primary Training Center

Two Frasca Cessna 172S level 5 Flight Training Devices (FTDs) were recently qualified by the CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) for training by Shenzhen Airlines. The Frasca FTDs are located at Shenzhen's Flight Training School, located in Wuzhou, Guangxi province, China. Shenzhen Airlines Company, Ltd., Shenzhen, China, purchased four Cessna 172 FTD from Frasca. Two units have been delivered with the remaining two units scheduled for delivery in February 2009.

The FTDs are designed and manufactured to CAAC Level 5 certification requirements. The FTDS also feature Frasca's TruVision 180x40 FOV Visual System and Garmin G1000 avionics.

According to Mr. Li Kun, President of Shenzhen Airlines, the Frasca FTDs will be used in Shenzhen's prestigious flight training program to enhance pilot proficiency and public safety.

Mr. Li stated "Shenzhen Airlines is one of China's most successful airlines and Frasca is the world's most renowned FTD supplier. Having a partner like Frasca cooperating with our Flight School is very important for mutual continued success."

President Li also noted that cooperation between Shenzhen Airlines and Lantech Engineering, Ltd., (Frasca's Commercial Products Distributor for China) is an added value and convenience for local post-sales support.

Mr. Niu Tao, President of Lantech Engineering, Ltd., said "I am extremely pleased to be working with excellent organizations like Shenzhen Airlines and Frasca International." He further noted that Lantech has full time staff dedicated to Shenzhen Airlines for ongoing support.

"Frasca is very pleased to have been awarded this competitive contract," said John Frasca, Vice President of Frasca International, Inc. "We are looking forward to working with Shenzhen Airlines on this and future projects. Frasca has now sold 15 FTDs to Chinese customers and are looking forward to developing partnerships with additional Chinese airlines and schools and anticipate providing many more quality flight simulators to the expanding Chinese market."

Frasca manufactures flight training equipment for airlines, flight schools, universities and military organizations worldwide. The company has delivered over 2000 devices to some 70 countries since the companies founding in 1958.
