USI Partners With Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition

Will Promote And Provide UAS Training Opportunities To The EDRC Community Members

The Unmanned Safety Institute (USI), the industry leader in remote pilot safety education, training, and certification, today announced an industry partnership with the Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition (EDRC) to promote and provide unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) training opportunities to the EDRC community members around the world.

The Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition is part of Stone Fort Group’s InnovateEnergy Community, which provides content, executive insights, thought leadership, “how-to” and real-world use cases to its global audience of 20,000+ energy executives and digital innovation leaders. The Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition hosts a yearly summit, which is dedicated to providing a space for launching, growing, and scaling enterprise unmanned systems operations in energy companies around the world.

EDRC and USI will combine resources to promote industry connectivity and encourage professional development opportunities for members of their community, such as drone service providers. EDRC’s course catalog will include USI’s full suite of training and industry certifications, including the sUAS Safety Ground School, UAS Flight Safety Endorsement, Visual Line-of-Sight System Operations (VSO), FAA Remote Pilot Practice Exam, UAS 101, Unmanned Systems Foundations, UAS Applications, UAS Personnel, and Unmanned Safety Management.

“EDRC is the leading resource for technology benefits to the energy industry. USI is very pleased to support their effort with tried and tested risk management and safety solutions,” stated USI president Josh Olds.

"We are excited to work with USI to promote so many key types of training and industry certifications for our growing community of energy, engineering and industrial UAS professionals,” said Sean Guerre, Executive Director of EDRC.

Anyone interested in taking advantage of these unmanned training opportunities can visit the Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition Catalog on USI’s website.
