You Don't Mess With Mother Nature

By ANN News-Spy Charlie Brown

Monday night a high wind [later identified as a tornado] touched down in the small town of Castroville, located 20 miles west, south west of San Antonio, Texas.

The freak storm wrecked havoc with the Castroville airport. One three-bay hangar was completely demolished, damaging the 10 aircraft within; and the wind continued down the flight line causing further damage to another 3 aircraft.

In all three aircraft may have suffered the ultimate fate of being totaled, and lots of airmen will be hangar flying for a while.

I just hate to see any of this happen to good tin.

[Charlie is an ATP with 20,000 hours, and has flown the DC3, DC8, B707, B737, L382 Herc. DH 125, CE 500. He also holds MEL, SEL & Sea --ed. Oh -- and he took the pictures, too. Thanks, Charlie!]
