Turkish National Police Select DVCS6100 For New Bell 429 Fleet

Becker Avionics Digital Audio Panel To Be Installed In 15 Aircraft For TNP

The Turkish National Police (TNP) has selected Becker Avionics' DVCS6100, for their new fleet of fifteen (15) Bell 429 light-twin helicopters.

The TNP contract for the new Bell 429’s equipped for law enforcement missions was signed last week between Bell Helicopter and the Turkish National Police authorities. All aircraft will be built at Bell's commercial helicopter assembly plant in Mirabel, Canada and the specific customization of the aircraft, including the DVCS6100 will be performed at Bell Helicopter’s facilities in Piney Flats, Tennessee.

The new TNP Bell 429 advanced light twin-engine helicopters will be used as multi-mission airborne platforms flown across the full array of law enforcement missions from surveillance to air support of ground operations.

"We’re very proud that the TNP, along with Bell, selected our DVCS6100 product for this program," said Brett Gardner, Director of Sales and Marketing at Becker Avionics. "It further confirms that our aircraft Digital Audio system is the system of choice for airborne law enforcement agencies around the world. Our DVCS6100 Audio Management System allows the flight crew to select and control all onboard communication devices for inbound and outbound communications, including; public address, warning systems, radios and crew intercommunications. Additionally, the DVCS6100 has an excellent Man-Machine-Interface, outstanding field reliability, and is able to transmit on up to 8 channels simultaneously, along with providing a radio relay feature. Bottom line, all of these features and its crystal-clear audio quality made the DVCS6100 the intercom system of choice for the TNP.”
