Bizjet Overruns PDK Runway, No One Injured

Storms Reported In Area At The Time

ANN REALTIME REPORTING 09.14.07 1825 EDT: Aero-News has confirmed an IAI Gulfstream 100 (Astra) business jet overran the runway on takeoff from Peachtree Dekalb Airport near Atlanta, GA a little over one hour ago.

WSB-TV reports the accident aircraft's tail number is N100G, owned by Hawk Flight Inc. of Wayne, PA.

No injuries were reported.

1750 EDT: The Atlanta Fire Department is on the scene at Peachtree Dekalb Airport (KPDK), where a bizjet -- reportedly a Gulfstream -- has run off the end of the runway.

Fire officials tell ANN's Pete Combs nobody was hurt in the mishap, which occured as heavy storms were moving through the area.

It is not yet known whether the aircraft was taking off or landing when the accident occurred. The aircraft overran the departure end of the runway by approximately 500'-750'.

One of the wing tanks is reportedly leaking fuel, creating a hazmat situation at the airport.

At least one runway is closed at PDK at this time. ANN will have more information as it becomes available.
