EAA's New Standard Noses Over

Oh, Heck.

These things happen, even to the best in the business. As EAA spokesman Dick Knapinski told us, "The good news is, the airplane did stop, and everybody's fine. One of our volunteer pilots took the airplane to an airshow in West Bend (WI), and was giving a flight to an EAA volunteer. We don't know just what happened; it nosed over. Most of the time, it's landed on grass; this time, it was on a hard runway.

"We just got it fixed up, and now it's on 'injured reserve.' It's done flying for the year."

The airplane is titled to the EAA Aviation Foundation.
