Avidyne Continues To Innovate!
Avidyne Corporation is a market-leader in the design and manufacture of advanced-capability FMS/GPS, ADS-B, and Safety Systems for general aviation aircraft.
Avidyne’s continuing leadership in innovation make flying easier, safer, and more enjoyable for pilots and their passengers. The company offers a full line of innovative, easy-to-use avionics including their flagship IFD550 with integrated Attitude Reference Sensor, the IFD540 & IFD440 FMS/GPS/NAV/COMs, AMX240 Audio Panel, and SkyTrax ADS-B products.
Experienced entrepreneur and pilot Dan Schwinn founded Avidyne in 1994 with the mission of modernizing GA avionics by applying advanced technology in order to improve safety and increase aircraft utility.
“As a pilot and aircraft owner, I was struck by how little GA cockpits had changed over the last 30 years,” said Schwinn. “I saw huge potential to develop a core technology and define a new generation of avionics that improve flying safety.”
The company set a new standard in ease of use with its full line of panel-mounted avionics, including their new flagship IFD550 with ARS, and their IFD540 and IFD440 FMS/GPS/NAV/COMs. These products all feature Synthetic Vision, Hybrid Touch, GeoFill™ and Airway flight planning, plus integrated wireless connectivity.
Avidyne has three locations in the United States, including its Headquarters and manufacturing facility in Melbourne, FL, plus facilities in Columbus, OH, and Concord, MA.
