Kilfrost Receives 'Top Export' Honor

Company Recognized By UK's North East Business Awards

Kilfrost has been recognized at the finals of the North East Business Awards, winning the Export award for its increasing global operations and influence. It was also runner-up in the contest for Company of the Year at an April 14th ceremony held in Sedgefield, UK.

Kilfrost was presented with the Export award in recognition of its moves to generate substantial and sustained increases in export activity. Kilfrost's products, manufactured in the North East, are exported across the globe, with its de-icing solutions helping airports from Frankfurt to Anchorage stay operational. By ensuring transport hubs remain open, Kilfrost helps economies and businesses save millions in lost productivity and revenue across international markets.

Kilfrost was commended for its track record in selling products and additionally for its skill in overcoming barriers to expand into new marketplaces. Kilfrost's pioneering expansion into new markets in the Far East has seen the company become a leading representative of the North East region across the globe.

"We are thrilled to win the Export awards, as the judges recognised the contribution Kilfrost has made in building the reputation of firms in the North East nationally and internationally," said Gary Lydiate, Chief Executive of Kilfrost. "Our solutions keep business critical operations functioning, even in the most extreme of weather conditions. It is immensely rewarding to be commended for our work in helping to ensure vital travel routes remain open, which ultimately delivers huge returns for individuals, businesses and economies by minimising lost productivity and inconvenience.

"Through the dedication and expertise of our team we maintained the supply of our anti-icing and de-icing products to clients across 50 countries and five continents last year. We continue to build a world-class team as we expand our product range and enter new markets across the globe."

Kilfrost reached the Regional Finals of the North East Business Awards having won the Tyneside and Northumberland regional competition. The North East Business awards are sponsored by organizations such as UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and HSBC.
