Piper Expanding Global Presence

Plans To Establish Three New International Sales Offices

Piper Aircraft will expand its global sales presence in 2010 with the establishment of several regional offices strategically located throughout the world. The three new sales offices will serve the Americas, Asia/Pacific, and the Europe/Middle East/Africa regions.

"Very soon we will be hiring a regional sales executive to head our sales activities throughout North and South America," said Randy Groom, Piper executive vice president responsible for global customer support, marketing and all of the company's new aircraft sales. That individual will be based at company headquarters in Vero Beach, FL.

"We will follow that quickly with setting up an office to be located in the State of Brunei Darussalam to serve the Asia/Pacific region of the world," he said. "And then we will open a sales office at a location to be determined within the European Union to serve all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa," Groom added.

The mission of the executives picked to head the offices will be to manage Piper sales in those respective regions. They will work with Piper dealers and sales agents in those territories to make sure that the company has strong representation in all appropriate markets. The new Piper sales executives will be working with Piper's current dealers and agents in the recruitment of additional dealers and agents in strategically significant areas.
