AUVSI Says XPONENTIAL 2021 Is A Go

But... "If You Are Not Feeling Well, Please Stay Home"

The rumor mill is getting a bit wild as the so-called COVID Delta variant gets more attention.

ANN has received a communication from AUVSI is which they state that, "As XPONENTIAL approaches in less than two weeks, we're closely monitoring COVID trends globally and locally in Atlanta. We want to confirm for our community that we are proceeding as planned with the event, and to share some pertinent information.

Mandates that the city of Atlanta has recently announced are aligned with the Health + Safety Plan we've already had in place, reinforcing our efforts to keep attendees safe while engaging on-site."

As a state operated facility, the Georgia World Congress Center is not subject to city mandates and will operate in full compliance with XPO's Health + Safety Plan.

While not required, AUVSI has strongly encouraged all XPONENTIAL participants to be fully vaccinated before attending and to review all Safety Reminders in our Show Policies.

They add that, "If you are not feeling well, please stay home."

As a reminder, some of the key protocols in place include:

  • All attendees will be required to wear face masks during the event, regardless of their vaccination status.
  • Lounge seating will be arranged to promote social distancing so that networking can be done safely.
  • All meeting rooms will be arranged to allow for appropriate physical distancing between attendees.
  • All aisle widths in the XPO Hall have been increased to allow for physical distancing.
  • Frequent touch points will be routinely cleaned and sanitized.

AUVSI promises to continue to closely monitor the situation, CDC and State Guidelines, and will provide updates if anything changes.
