Groundbreaking Set For Stockton Aviation Research And Technology Park

Construction Set To Begin May 15

A groundbreaking event is planned for May 15 for the Stockton Aviation Research and Technology Park in Atlantic County, NJ.

A $17.2 million contract for construction was approved by the Atlantic County Improvement Authority in March. When completed, the park will consist of seven multi-story buildings with more than 400,000 square feet, according to The Press of Atlantic City. It will be built and owned by the investment authority, and focus on research, innovation and commercialization of emerging aviation technologies.

The first building will have a high-speed connection with the FAA Technical Center laboratories, along with classrooms, conference rooms, and a rooftop lounge. A FAA lab will be housed in the first building constructed.

The first of the seven buildings is expected to be completed in mid-2018.
