With its wings removed, the airplane is being transported to a construction barge, where it will be stripped of all cables and cleaned of all fluids. It will the be towed about 500 yards way from the Galata Cape, south of the "Golden Sands" beach resort, and sunk in Varna Bay in about 70 feet of water.

Orlin Tsanev, a photo reporter and Chair of the Divers' Union 'Black Sea Dive Odessos', told Novinite the location has been approved by the Bulgarian government. Over time, it will become home to a variety of sea life, and a tourist attraction for recreational divers.
