Aerometals Receives FAA STC Approval For Airbus H130 IBF System

Inlet Barrier Filter Gets U.S. Government Approval

Aftermarket civil and military aircraft parts manufacturer and engine Inlet Barrier Filter (IBF) innovator Aerometals has received an FAA Supplemental Type Certification (STC) for Airbus Helicopters H130 (EC130T2) IBF System.

Utilizing the latest Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling software, Aerometals’ engineers have created the most effective and efficient next generation IBF design available on the market today.

Long ago, proven as the most reliable way to protect turbine engine inlets and internal components from ingestion damage, IBF technology has now entered a new realm with the use of high technology flow modeling applications. As a result of this capability, the total filter area has been reduced through airflow optimization during the engineering and design phases.

The new Airbus H130 IBF is the latest addition to the long line of high technology turbine engine air filtration systems available at Aerometals.
