Cubs To Bonanzas: New Memoir Reflects On A Life Of Flight

Lifelong Aviation Enthusiast Recounts 65 Years Of Innovation And Exploration

A life of flying is a life ripe with thrills, peace and perspective. Richard A. Komm has spent most of his life in the skies, and recounts the stories and lessons learned from his extensive aviation experience in, “Cubs to Bonanzas: A 65-year perspective through a pilot’s eyes.”

The book follows Komm as his initial curiosity in aviation at age 15 morphed into a lifelong hobby, which has taken him across the country and as well as several international borders. “My love for flying has given me many wondrous adventures,” Komm said. “From harrowing experiences to natural phenomena few have seen, flying has never been dull.”
 
“Cubs to Bonanzas” follows Komm as he experiences the evolution of aviation during the latter part of the 20th century firsthand, as well as pertinent societal changes that have impacted the industry. In addition to the retrospection, “Cubs to Bonanzas” also tackles current hot topics in aviation and air safety.
 
“The book looks at the past and future of flying,” Komm said. “I hope this comprehensive look at aviation will inspire readers to realize the thrills that are waiting outside their comfort zones.”
