Will Supply Finished IPs
Representatives with Pacific Coast Avionics told ANN this week
the company has reached an agreement with Glasair Aviation LLC to
support the new Glasair Sportsman "Two Weeks To Taxi" Program
through the design and fabrication of optional kit panels.
As Aero-News reported earlier this
year, the program gives customers the chance to build
their Glasair Sportsman aircraft during an intensive two-week
period at the Glasair factory -- with the goal of being able to
taxi the aircraft at the end of the two week period.
In support of that effort, Pacific Coast Avionics has designed
five panel options -- ranging from basic VFR to deluxe IFR (shown
below) -- that the customer can specify for his aircraft.
Based on the specifications and an install date provided by the
factory, Pacific Coast Avionics will fabricate and deliver the
finished panel in time for installation. The panel will be based on
the fiberglass panel supplied by the factory, for which Pacific
Coast Avionics will install the avionics and instruments and
provide all the necessary engraved metal overlays.
"This kind of panel design and fabrication is some of what we do
best," said Dewey Conroy, President of Pacific Coast Avionics. "We
have years of experience with kit panel design and with our
extensive product inventory we can deliver just what the Glasair
customer wants."
"We are pleased to be part of a program with such a quality kit
builder, and with the history and reputation as Glasair." Conroy
added.
