Quality Aircraft Accessories Reopens

Expanded Fort Lauderdale MRO Serves Southern U.S. and South America

Quality Aircraft Accessories (QAA), the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based FAA Part 145 Class 1 and Class 2 Repair Station, announced on 27 March 2023 that it has reopened an expanded repair station in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The reopened facility focuses on Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of General Aviation accessories, principally magnetos and exhaust systems. Located close to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, the new and larger repair station is an extension of QAA’s principal operation and headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

QAA’s Fort Lauderdale facility, which services the Southeastern U.S. and South America, also distributes General Aviation products from a variety of manufacturers. After being shut down for several months on account of an ambitious renovation program, the Fort Lauderdale operation reopens larger, more comprehensively staffed, and featuring revamped, modernized processes—to include the addition of welding services germane, primarily, to aircraft engine exhaust system refurbishment.

Quality Aircraft Accessories General Manager Brandon Stewart stated: “We are up and running in time for the SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo to be held this week in Lakeland, Florida. We will be a part of Hartzell Aviation’s exhibit there and look forward to seeing our South American and regional customers.”

Mr. Steward added: “Further, we thank our sister company Hartzell Engine Tech, which assisted us in establishing future state processing. Our customers are already benefiting from improved quality, service, availability, and shorter lead times. We also want to recognize the support that Hartzell Aerospace Welding provided in bringing on our exhaust overhaul and repair capabilities and further expanding our support for General Aviation.”

The reopening of the Fort Lauderdale facility has permitted QAA to add an onsite dedicated customer service representative, welding technicians, and a quality chief inspector. Including upgrades to the company’s new facility, the total QAA investment presently exceeds one-million-dollars. Subject investment includes a new conveyor system, paint booth, drying oven, blast cabinet, workbenches, fixtures, and a full range of welding equipment and capabilities.

Parties interested in learning more about QAA and its Tulsa and Fort Lauderdale operations are invited to visit the company’s website.
