Mountain Aircraft Intros American Flyer LSA At Lakeland

Company Says Latest Entrant Sports Lowest Price

Mountain Aircraft debuted its new sport aircraft at the 2007 Lakeland Fly-In last week.

Powered by a Rotax 912, the newest sport aircraft arrival will be sold in North America by Sportsplanes.com.

Josh Foss, the CEO of Sportsplanes.com, says, "The American Flyer offers performance second to none, but does so at a very reasonable price. The key is mass production, lightweight materials and use of traditional construction products like steel tube fuselage, wooden wing frames and fabric covering. Perhaps most important, it is not only the newest entry in the sport pilot world, it's got the lowest price."

The American Flyer is available in a taildragger or conventional gear format; the wings can fold to allow storage in a one car garage.

Dan Rozsa of Mountain Aircraft expects the production line to be operational in the next few months.
