BBA Aviation Completes Acquisition Of Landmark Aviation

Deal Called A 'Significant Expansion' By The FBO Network

BBA Aviation plc, has completed the $2.065 billion acquisition of Landmark Aviation, representing a major expansion of Signature Flight Support (Signature), a BBA Aviation company, the world’s largest FBO network.

“Today we celebrate the successful acquisition of Landmark Aviation. We are so pleased and proud to welcome Landmark’s 3,000 global employees to the BBA Aviation and Signature Flight Support teams. Our customers will benefit immensely from the substantially expanded global footprint of the Signature Flight Support network. This acquisition also significantly enhances our Signature TECHNICAir MRO business and we look forward to offering aircraft charter and management services to our customers,” stated Maria Sastre, President and COO of Signature Flight Support.

Signature’s global network now numbers 195 global locations located throughout North America, Europe, South America, Caribbean, Africa and Asia. The acquisition process required the divestment of six co-located FBO locations: Westchester County Airport (HPN), New York; Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Virginia; Scottsdale Airport (SDL), Arizona; Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), Alaska; Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT), California and Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (TRM), California.

Landmark’s aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul locations expand Signature’s existing MRO operations delivered through its Signature TECHNICAir and CSE Citation Centre brands now available at 19 global locations.

The acquisition of Landmark Aviation’s aircraft management and charter division, which has 110 aircraft under management, is structured to be U.S. Department of Transportation compliant and extends the services that BBA Aviation can offer its customers.

Signature will move rapidly to rebrand all of the FBO locations as Signature Flight Support by way of a phased approach.
