EAA Aviation Foundation Scholarships Open

Funding For Flight Training And Post-Secondary Education

The EAA announced that applications are now being accepted for the 2025-26 cycle of EAA Aviation Foundation scholarships, and students can apply on the EAA website until the deadline on December 19, 2025. The scholarships will be awarded on March 2, 2026.

This year, the application period is open a month earlier so the winners can get started earlier with their flight training.

Funds from the scholarships can be used by students to help cover the expenses of flight training or for post-secondary education.

Flight training funds can be used for the costs associated with a glider, private pilot, or sport pilot certificates, advanced flight ratings, and endorsements. Post-secondary scholarship funds can be applied toward tuition costs at colleges, universities, or trade schools for majors like aviation management, aerospace engineering, airframe and powerplant (A&P) maintenance technician, and other aviation or aerospace-related education programs.

In 2025, the EAA Aviation Foundation awarded 84 students with scholarships to assist them in their pursuit of flight training and post-secondary education. This was made possible through the generous donations to the EAA Aviation Foundation.

Rebecca Greskoviak, Scholarship and Fund Stewardship Coordinator said, “Scholarships are the key to many students being able to turn their passion into a career,” said “Our goal is to remove the financial barriers to entry, to ensure that all students, regardless of financial background, have the ability to pursue their dreams in aviation.”

Scholarships are open to students aged 16 and up, with the stipulation that the age of 16 must be attained by the award date: March 2, 2026.

More information about the EAA Aviation Foundation scholarships and applications are available at the EAA website.
