Teenage Girl Sues American Airlines For $10 Million

Unaccompanied Minor Claims She Was Groped By Another Passenger

A 13-year-old girl who claims she was groped by a male passenger while traveling as an unaccompanied minor on a flight from Dallas, TX to Portland, OR last month has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the airline.

Television station KTVZ reports that the suit was filed in Portland by attorney Brent Goodfellow, who said the incident caused the girl "extreme fear and psychological trauma."

AA spokesman Matt Miller said the suit is "under review", and the airline is cooperating with the FBI investigation.

A flight attendant said she was delivering snacks when she noticed that the suspect, 26-year-old Chad Camp (pictured in booking photo), had his hand in the girl's crotch area. She said the girl had a single tear running down her cheek, and she quickly separated the two passengers.

Camp was arrested in Portland and jailed, where he remains. He pleaded not guilty to abusive sexual contact.

A witness said Camp had at least four mixed drinks before the flight.
