Gary Stevens Can Help You Realize Your Dreams

Rex Alexander of Aero News Network caught up with Gary Stevens to chew the fat about homegrown airstrip creation. Sure, there’s some guidance issued from the FAA in the form of an Advisory Circular, but it’s a wide world out there, and no single document can walk builders through an infinite gauntlet of headaches and problems.

That’s where Stevens & co. come in, with the “Building Your Dream Airport” project. They help provide additional, real-life guidance to those building an airfield, helping them navigate the regulatory and real-world elements that come into play. Every year, Stevens presents at Oshkosh to help beginners cover the essentials and begin planning their operations, but those who can’t make it aren’t shut out of that guidance entirely. He recommends the EAA and a group on Facebook called “Grass Airstrip Owners and Pilots” as good internet resources, too.
