Gogo Business Aviation Signs Russel Wilson as 5G Ambassador

Wilson to Serve as Spokesman for Company, Appear in Marketing Materials, Promote In-Flight 5G Utility

Gogo’s newest affiliate is a big name for those following the NFL at home or abroad, Super Bowl champ Russell Wilson.

The Denver Broncos quarterback will serve as a spokesperson for Gogo’s in-flight 5G capabilities, promoting the service, speaking to his experience in using it, and making media appearances where appropriate.

For players accustomed to being on the road, large swathes of down time in the air can become straining, but Wilson manages to keep in touch with family and friends with his 5G-equipped Gulfstream G-IV.

Gogo’s in-flight connectivity allows streaming on the goal throughout the majority of every flight, with nationwide coverage and speeds that outshine even home internet performance in some areas at ground level.

His 2000 G-IV is right up the alley for Gogo, being a perfect example of their target market for those making the jump to a fully modernized in-flight internet solution.

“Between football, family and business, being connected in the air is vital to me and that’s why I am excited to join the Gogo team and help others take part in the Gogo 5G network, which will change the travel experience for good,” said Wilson.

“Whether I’m FaceTiming with my family, going over plays with teammates or working on off-field ventures like the Why Not You Foundation, I know the value of a strong Wi-Fi connection. Gogo is the only connectivity I’ve ever had on my plane because it’s the only one I can always trust. I can’t imagine flying without Gogo.”

“We’re thrilled to have Russell join the Gogo team,” said Sergio Aguirre (pictured), Gogo’s president and chief operating officer.

“He’s been a longtime Gogo customer, so he knows firsthand the value of Gogo’s inflight connectivity. 5G will take his Wi-Fi experience to another level. He’ll be an expert resource and trusted voice for other business aircraft operators about Gogo 5G.”
