Kyle Franklin To Return To Performing

Will Fly Next Weekend In Waterloo, IA. Two Air Shows Booked In October

It has been a long road back for Kyle Franklin. But now, seven months after the tragic accident which eventually claimed his wife Amanda, Kyle has announced on Facebook that he is returning to the air show circuit.

"For those of you that have not heard by now, I'm going to be back out on the airshow circuit next weekend in Waterloo, IA with the Comedy Act," Kyle wrote on his factbook page. "I will also do two more shows this year, Ft. Smith, AR - October 1-2 and Ft. Worth, TX Alliance Airshow - October 22-23. Both will be with the Cub. I am also starting to book for the 2012 season. Looking forward to a full season with the Comedy Act.

"Hope to see some of you out there,

Kyle."

Kyle has not performed since experiencing engine trouble in his Waco biplane during a wing-walking act with Amanda at an air show in March. While she managed to get back into the airplane before it went down, the post-crash fire burned both of the performers badly. Amanda passed away in May as the result of her injuries.

The Franklin Flying Circus website describes the comedy act with the cub as a "one-of-a kind wild and crazy comedy act (casting) Kyle Franklin as Ben Whabnaski, the annoying drunk who wants his airplane ride that was promised to him. Much different from your typical flying farmer routine, this routine will get everyone on their feet and roaring with laughter. The effort and skill Kyle displays is amazing to say the least. Most pilots only put a wingtip on the ground during ground loops. Kyle Franklin does it for fun so often, that his cub needs skid plates taped on the wingtips! This is truly a show stealing act."
