Tasked With Keeping Beech, Hawker Lines Competitive
Just barely three months old, the
recently-christened Hawker Beechcraft Corporation continues to take
steps to insure the continued development of its storied aircraft
lines. The company announced Monday it has appointed Mike
Hinderberger and Kerry Masher to the newly-created positions of
vice-president of production development, for the Hawker and
Beechcraft lines, respectively.
Hinderberger will be responsible for new product development,
legacy research and development, change management and product
sustainment of the Hawker line. He comes to the company from
Gulfstream, where he served as chief engineer for Advanced Aircraft
Programs.
Representatives with Hawker Beechcraft tell ANN during his
nine-year tenure with Gulfstream, Hinderberger also held several
other product development positions. Prior to that, Hinderberger
was Global Express certification, powerplant, flight test team
leader, and engine development manager for Rolls Royce Deutschland
in Berlin, Germany.
Hinderberger has a master’s degree in technical management
from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a bachelor’s
degree in mechanical engineering from the University of
Cincinnati.
Over on the Beechcraft side, Kerry Masher will be responsible
for keeping the Beech line competitive. He was previously director
of New Product Development for Hawker Beechcraft where he has
worked for most of the past 25 years in a variety of engineering
roles.
Masher also spent two years with Lockheed Martin as a director
of Special Mission Programs, Lear Fan Corporation as senior
engineer, Loads and Dynamics, and Boeing Military Aircraft as
engineer, loads and Dynamics. He has a bachelors degree in
aeronautical engineering from Purdue University.
