GMR Takes Delivery Of First IFR Bell 407GXi

First of 24 Aircraft Announced At VAI Verticon 2025 In Dallas

Bell Textron announced that air medical service provider Global Medical Response has taken delivery of the first of an anticipated 24 IFR-configured Bell 407GXi helicopters. GMR signed a purchase agreement in late 2024 for a firm fifteen aircraft with an option for an additional nine.

Should GMR complete the purchase of the entire 24 aircraft, its fleet will total 250 Bell helicopters to extend its reach even beyond the company’s operations that currently cover all 50 U.S. states and internationally.

Nick Loporcaro, President and CEO of Global Medical Response said, “Global Medical Response is excited to welcome our first IFR-configured Bell 407GXi to our EMS family. We are proud to bring this new design not only to our patients but also to our crews, who save lives in the air and on the ground each and every day.”

The Bell 407GXi cruises at 133 kts or 243 km/hr while delivering the performance and fuel efficiency for air medical agencies around the world. Its adjustable cabin space and single-pilot IFR capability allows operators to operate in demanding and challenging environments while delivering essential medical equipment needed during medical emergency missions.

Lane Evans, Managing Director of North America Sales for Bell said, “Bell is proud to deliver the first aircraft in the series to Global Medical Response, highlighting a significant milestone in our relationship and reinforcing our commitment to being the premier HEMS mission partner. We are confident that the IFR-configured Bell 407GXi platform will enhance Global Medical Response’s operations and its ability to serve more patients in need.”
