Gone West: Margaret 'Peggy' LoPresti

Wife Of Aviation Speed Pioneer Roy LoPresti Carried On In The Company

We at ANN join the aviation community in mourning the death of Peggy LoPresti, who died at age 79 on July 17th in Vero Beach, Florida.

She was born in Jersey City, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 21 years.

She was the chairman of the board of LoPresti Speed Merchants and LoPresti Aviation of Vero Beach and Sebastian. Survivors include her daughter, Amy Walsh of Allen, Texas; sons, Curt, Jim, Roy and David, all of Vero Beach; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Episcopal Church, 475 43rd Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32968.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. July 22 at St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, with the Rev. Michael W. Goldberg officiating.

"Aviation is a small community, a family. As a member of this family, we wanted you to know that your heart-felt sentiments and words are appreciated in the loss of our mother, Peggy," the family said in announcing her passing.
