Hot Intel From AEA

Get The Skinny From The Folks Who REALLY Know Avionics

Our friends at AEA showed us a project recently that once again shows us that these folks have the best interests of aviators squarely at heart.

The Aircraft Electronics Association is developing a series of INTEL documents for pilots and other aviation professionals that should provide a solid grounding in a number of important avionics disciplines.

The AEA Avionics INTEL sheets are individual briefing papers on different types of avionics systems which capture the product specifications, a description of the technology, a reference to the major Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to the technology and a list of reference materials.

AEA's Avionics INTEL sheets are designed to provide a brief overview of the technology and applicable regulations, they do not contain all of the available information and should not be used for regulatory compliance.

The reader is encouraged to review the references for an in depth study of the technology.

Among the INTEL sheets already available from AEA:

AEA staffers tell ANN that other briefing projects are in the works, so be sure to check their site regularly to keep up to date.
