Iris Casia G AI to Serve as Basis for In-Flight Aircraft Detection
DroneUp has embarked on a partnership with Iris Automation that will bring the firm’s AI-powered Casia G technology to their autonomous drone delivery platform.
The change will allow DroneUp to maintain a higher level of situational awareness while undergoing drone flights in its delivery areas, using Casia G nodes as a home base to watch the skies for unannounced airspace entries. The unit will act much like a base station, providing a full 360º view of surrounding airspace and meshing with others in the network to provide complete aircraft detection, classification, and alerting. The improved level of awareness will let the DroneUp flight team respond to incoming aircraft and move their drones out of the way before a risk of collision can begin to form. DroneUp will deploy a network of Casia Gs throughout its operational airspace while it navigates often-congested and complex airspace.
