Virgin Galactic Seeking Interns

Wants Students Well Versed In Several Engineering Disciplines

Engineering students looking for an internship might want to look into this opportunity at Virgin Galactic.

On its website under "Careers", the company says "We are seeking engineering interns to help develop the next generation of commercial space vehicles. If you are looking for a challenging opportunity that will ignite your passion for designing cool and innovative products, are exceptionally creative, are a great problem solver and can make things happen - apply today!"

But these interns won't be getting coffee and filing papers. The company says that to be considered, applicants need to "show excellence in more than one" engineering discipline such as Fluid System Engineering; Structural Systems Engineering; Ground Test Systems; Technical Design and CAD and ; Manufacturing Engineering.

Applicants should be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Physics.

A minimum 3.5 GPA strongly preferred.
