COPA Annual Event Slated For July Arrival In Duluth
The Cirrus Owners & Pilots Association (COPA) announced its
6th annual Migration, Fly-in and Exposition, will be held at the
home of Cirrus Design Corporation -- Duluth, MN -- from July 10
through July 13, 2008.
The Sixth annual event is expected to attract over 200 aircraft,
450 attendees and 50 exhibitors. In addition to a fantastic array
of social activities, seminars and trade show that promises to be
bigger and better than past years, Cirrus pilots and their families
will be treated to two very special events.
The first is the eagerly awaited appearance of the incomparable
aviation author and humorist, Rod Machado. Rod will debut a new
presentation entitled "Single Pilot IFR Flying Strategies: Less
Work, Greater Safety, More Fun."
"Come prepared to learn about communication efficiency,
precision and non-precision approach techniques, interpreting
NEXRAD imagery and much more! This program is excellent for
seasoned IFR pros or those working on their instrument rating,"
said Machado.
The second event taking place at the Saturday evening banquet,
is a performance by artist Lee Zimmerman -- an extraordinary
painter who will create a completed original artwork to the
accompaniment of live music right there at the banquet. The
finished work will be auctioned and sold to the highest bidder,
with the proceeds going to benefit COPA's pilot safety and
education programs.
Migration 6 is open to everyone. Visit the COPA website for more
details and to register.
