Larry Levin To Be Presented The IMC Club's “Brown Jacket” Award

Goes To An Individual Deeply Dedicated To Ongoing Pilot Proficiency

The 2015 IMC Club “Brown Jacket” Award will be presented to Larry Levin in a ceremony to be held Friday at AirVenture.

Larry, born in Providence, RI and living in Lincoln, RI with his wife Lisa and son Alex. He is practicing Dentistry full time in Providence, RI but when not at work or flying,  he enjoys playing tennis and following his Providence College Friars. Larry began flying in 1981. He received his commercial rating in 1989, and an ATP rating in 1992.  Last year he received his commercial glider rating.   He is flying a 1998 Socata Trinidad which, he said - “is a great aircraft due to its nice combination of relative speed, useful load and beauty.”   Larry makes 4-6 trips to the Bahamas each year and the Trinidad makes it a very comfortable flight.

The designation requires a process of continuing aviation activity and it is awarded annually to one individual only. In addition to the “Instrument Master” leather flight jacket, the winner will receive valuable prizes provided by the IMC Club supporting aviation industry corporate members: LightSpeed Aviation, Jeppesen and Randolph Engineering.

The award will be presented by Michael Goulian, an air show superstar and performer, IMC Club Board of Directors member; one of a seven people to have been awarded all three of the air show industry's most prestigious awards; the Art Scholl Memorial Showmanship Award, the Bill Barber Award for Showmanship, and the ICAS Sword of Excellence. The ceremony will be held at the EAA/Pilot Proficiency Center on Friday, July 24th at 11:00 a.m.
