King Air 360C in Greek Ambulance Livery Enters Service

Stavros Niarchos Foundation Completes Fleet Additions under $42 Million Grant

Fargo Jet Center finished off a conversion of a King Air 360C for the Hellenic Air Force and showed off their handiwork, with some spiffy new livery and mission-ready interior.

Recent news from the Greeks makes it seem like they’re on a spending spree, given a recent order for 8 brand-new Airbus H215 aircraft hardly a week ago. The EU has been learning some harsh lessons in emergency readiness as of late, opening up the funding for first response equipment that would ordinarily be a little too costly. The Airbus helios will help to bolster Greek and European readiness against wildfires, while this recent King Air will join the stables to improve outcomes by the Greek National Center for Emergency Care (EVAK). The King Air is one of 5 aircraft that will be procured and outfitted for medical missions, courtesy of a $41.6 million grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

The SNF’s Global Health Initiative had procured a pair of Augusta Westland 109 Trekker helicopters in 2021, and a similar pair of King Air 350s. This last aircraft finishes off the grant, padding out the Hellenic Air Force’s ability to transport, transfer, and continue care for their most imperiled passengers. Each of the EKAV aircraft in the fleet has to be up to snuff for whatever they face, requiring each aircraft be given a suitable fitting for airmed operations.

“The King Air 360C will significantly boost Greece’s ability to provide emergency medical care, ensuring that patients receive immediate and reliable air transport from remote areas to central locations in Greece and Europe,” said Bob Gibbs, vice president, Special Mission Sales. “The aircraft is equipped with the latest medical equipment and is ready to serve in diverse and remote locations.”
