Diamond Creates European Authorized Training Center Network

Signs Letters Of Intent With Multiple European FTOs

Diamond Aircraft announced the creation of the Diamond Authorized Training Centers (DATC) program to enable flight training organizations or FTOs who operate Diamond aircraft in their training to gain OEM recognition as a premier provider of flight training. Diamond has also signed Letters of Intent with four European FTOs.

Flight training organizations in the DATC agree to go through an inspection by Diamond Aircraft’s flight training specialists to evaluate the facilities, operations, and flight training methodologies. The FTOs selected for the network will be permitted to use Diamond Aircraft branding in their marketing programs as well as gain from enhanced support from Diamond Aircraft.

Jane Wang, Director for Sales, Marketing, and Flight Operations at Diamond Aircraft Austria, said, “Diamond Aircraft is unmatched in the flight training world, with a huge and growing number of flight schools rightly relying on Diamond aircraft to train their students. The stamp of approval we, as OEM, can provide FTOs through the DATC program means students will know that they are not only learning to fly in the ultimate training aircraft, but the training they are receiving is first-class, too.”

In April at AERO Friedrichshafen 2025, Diamond signed Letters of Intent with four Europe-based FTOs to join the DATC program: Germany’s Air Colleg Consulting GmbH, Switzerland’s Fliegerschule St. Gallen-Altenrein, the Netherlands’ Wings Over Holland BV, and Egmont Aviation Flight School in Slovenia.

Diamond Aircraft’s product line of fuel-efficient airplanes covers the full range of flight training with its single-engine piston (DA40 NG, DA40XLT) and multi-engine piston (DA42-VI) trainers. Diamond also has type-specific flight training simulators and proprietary jet-fuel engines.
