Contracts Significantly Expand Company’s Market

Gogo Business Aviation has contracted 25 Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for its Gogo Galileo HDX. These certificates add 18,000 global aircraft to the company’s business aviation market.

The STCs cover several additional airframes, including the Bombardier Challenger, Bombardier, Global Express, Embraer Legacy, Embraer Praetor, Gulfstream G, HondaJet, King Air series, Learjet, Embraer Phenom, Pilatus PC, Textron Citation, and Beechcraft Hawker. However, Gogo expects this portfolio to grow within the next month. They will be completed in 2025.

The company is also working with business aircraft manufacturers to introduce aftermarket STCs and service bulletins.

“The exceptional response from our dealer network is a testament to the strong demand for Gogo Galileo in the industry,” stated Gogo President and COO Sergio Aguirre. “Gogo customers now have access to true aviation-grade broadband connectivity regardless of the size of aircraft they operate or where they fly.”

The Gogo Galileo HDX is a small antenna designed as a direct add-on to the AVANCE connectivity platform. Intended for turboprops and jets of all sizes, it delivers peak speeds up to 60 Mbps, with an average of 57 Mbps. It is supported by Eutelsat OneWeb’s Low-Earth-Orbit network. The product is slated to launch later this year.

Gogo offers an FDX version for improved performance, allowing speeds up to 195 Mbps.

Gogo is currently taking orders for the HDX as an upgrade to its AVANCE system. The company is offering a $25,000 rebate to current customers operating its air-to-ground (ATG) technology who purchase AVANCE Smart Cabin Systems (CSC) and HDX.

7,031 business aircraft are currently outfitted with Gogo’s broadband ATG system, and 4,215 operate on an AVANCE L5 or L3 system.
