Tecnam Delivers P-Mentors To Florida Flyers Flight Academy

First Two Of Ten Ordered In Modernization For State-Of-The-Art Training Environment

Tecnam, Italian manufacturer of piston aircraft, announced the delivery of the first two of ten Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft to the Florida Flyers Flight Academy, signaling the beginning of an ambitious fleet modernization program designed to provide students a seamless state-of-the-art training experience.

The P-Mentor fleet will enable Florida Flyers to deliver a unique single-platform training concept where students can progress from zero flight experience through to Instrument rating and Commercial Pilot certification. Such consistency eliminates the need to adapt to different cockpit systems and layouts, and results in a smoother learning curve, reduced cost of training, and higher value per training flight hour.

The cockpit of the P-Mentor is designed to mirror that of modern airliners to smooth the transition to multi-crew environments and advanced flight operations. By standardizing the training platform, Florida Flyers reduces scheduling delays and ensures consistent fleet availability so students can focus entirely on honing skills.

Rainer Hueckels-Loeffeck, CEO of Florida Flyers Flight Academy said, “Florida Flyers Flight Academy proudly celebrates a major milestone with the arrival of its new Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft, the first two of ten units ordered as part of our ongoing fleet expansion and modernization plan. This marks our continued commitment to providing students with advanced, safe, and efficient training equipment that meets the highest global standards.

He continued, “Adding the Tecnam P-Mentor series reflects our investment in the future of aviation training and reinforces our position as one of the most advanced flight academies in the United States. We don’t just train pilots; we develop aviation professionals, offering guidance, structure, and real-world knowledge to help each student reach their goals with precision and support.”

Walter Da Costa, Chief Sales Officer for Tecnam’s said, “We are delighted to have Florida Flyers Flight Academy choose Tecnam for their fleet expansion. The P-Mentor is a game-changer for flight academies, offering a unique blend of modern technology and superior handling qualities. We are proud to support Florida Flyers in training the next generation of pilots on aircraft that are not only fun to fly but also environmentally friendly and cost-effective.”
